Chiropractic Treatment

Chiropractic therapy is holistic health care that concentrates mainly on the musculoskeletal structure of the body and how it relates to body function and the central nervous system.
Chiropractic therapy can improve the function of nerves within the body and contribute to better health. Patients seek this particular type of treatment when they have back pain, neck pain, disc hernia or migraine headaches. Chiropractic therapy may also help people who suffer from recurring colds or joint pain within the jaw, shoulders, and knees.
Accidents, stress, tension, and other factors may cause displacement to the spinal column. When a patient experiences any of these problems, may wish to consider chiropractic therapy.
Massage therapy like Breuss massage can prepare spinal column for chiropractic treatment.

Breuss Massage

This massage is named after Rudolph Breuss from Austria.
The Breuss massage is supporting the healing effect of the Dorn therapy from an energetic level. It is an energetic massage on the back, especially on both sides of the spinal column, using special oil with “hypericum” and finished with a Reiki treatment on the back.
It has the effect that the spine will be stretched and the discs will get more space for regeneration. The oil helps detoxifying and at same time calming the nerves. This massage is done very slowly and softly, with pressure, which brings the patient into a deep and immediate relaxation. Breuss massage is
done to prepare the Dorn method or Chiropractic treatment.

Dorn Therapy

The Dorn method is a form of manual, holistic, alternative therapy used to correct misalignments in the spinal column and other joints. In its theoretical approach, it is somewhat related to chiropractic and osteopathy, although it is different in its practical application.
It was developed in the 1970`s by the German healer Dieter Dorn. The Dorn method is based on the correction of uneven leg length; because of that the pelvis is said to become twisted and this can result in an asymmetrical, crooked or displaced spinal column.
Dorn uses a non-manipulative approach to correct such problems, this method uses the motion of the patient and the light  thumb pressure of the practitioner to divert muscles tension and in this relaxed state it is apparently possible to realign the bones.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger points are discrete, focal, hyperirritable spots located in a taut band of skeletal muscle. They produce pain locally and in a referred pattern and often accompany chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Acute trauma or repetitive microtrauma may lead to the development of stress on muscle fibers and the formation of trigger points. Patients may have regional, persistent pain resulting in a decreased range of motion in the affected muscles. These include muscles used to maintain body posture, such as those in the neck, shoulders, and pelvic girdle. Trigger points may also manifest as tension headache, tinnitus, temporomandibular joint pain, decreased range of motion in the legs, and low back pain.
